Hyunsuk Kim (김현석)

Hi, I am a postdoc at Imperial College London, mainly interested in algebraic geometry and complex geometry. My mentor is Paolo Cascini. Before that, I was a graduate student at the University of Michigan. My advisor was Mircea Mustaţă.

Research Interests

I am interested in algebraic geometry. More specifically, my current research focuses on applications of the theory of Hodge modules to classical problems in algebraic geometry and commutative algebra concerning local cohomology and singular cohomology of singular varieties, degenerating families of varieties, and moduli theory. I also think about Hodge theory of special varieties of combinatorial nature, such as toric varieties and Schubert varieties.
